Cookie Policy
This Cookie Policy explains how LinkrAPI uses cookies and similar technologies on linkrapi.com and in our dashboard. By using our services, you consent to the use of cookies as described below.
1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help maintain sessions, remember preferences, and improve the overall user experience. Some cookies are set by us directly; others are set by third-party services we use.
2. Types of Cookies We Use
| Cookie Name | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
__session (Clerk) |
Essential | Authentication session management — keeps you signed in | Session |
__client_uat (Clerk) |
Essential | User authentication token — validates your login state | 1 year |
theme |
Functional | Stores light/dark mode preference (localStorage, not a cookie) | Persistent |
3. Essential Cookies
Essential cookies are required for the Service to function. They are set by Clerk, our authentication provider, to manage your login session and keep you securely signed in to the LinkrAPI dashboard. These cookies cannot be disabled without breaking access to authenticated features.
4. Functional Cookies
We store your UI preferences — such as light/dark mode — in your browser's localStorage. This is technically not a cookie, but it behaves similarly: it persists across sessions and can be cleared via your browser's developer tools or storage settings. No personal data is stored in localStorage.
5. Analytics Cookies
LinkrAPI does not currently use third-party analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Mixpanel, or similar services. We may analyze anonymized, server-side request logs for performance monitoring and infrastructure optimization only. No behavioral tracking or cross-site profiling is performed.
6. Third-Party Cookies
The following third parties may set cookies or store data when you use LinkrAPI:
- Clerk (authentication) — see clerk.com/privacy
- Freemius (billing checkout) — see freemius.com/privacy
- Cloudflare (CDN and security) — see cloudflare.com/privacypolicy
Each provider is independently responsible for their cookies and data practices under their own privacy policies.
7. Managing Cookies
You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings. Note that disabling essential cookies will prevent you from accessing the LinkrAPI dashboard. Most browsers allow you to:
- View and delete cookies individually or in bulk
- Block third-party cookies from all or specific sites
- Set expiry preferences or clear cookies on browser close
- Receive alerts when new cookies are set
For instructions specific to your browser, visit your browser's help documentation.
8. Do Not Track
LinkrAPI does not currently respond to Do Not Track (DNT) browser signals, as there is no industry-standard interpretation of this signal. We limit our data collection to what is strictly necessary to deliver the Service and do not engage in behavioral advertising or cross-site tracking.
9. Changes to This Cookie Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of any updated policy.
10. Contact
For cookie-related questions, contact us at contact@linkrapi.com or use the contact form on our website. We typically respond within 24–48 hours on business days.
